Info
Owned and managed by the City of Edinburgh Council, the Leith Community Centre is an essential hub for the local area.
Because of its unusual design, the high-level roof above the centre's Gym Hall is practically inaccessible for regular maintenance and therefore over the years had become more and more dilapidated to the extent where a full renewal was required.
The roof was deemed to be fragile in nature due to the way it was originally constructed. Special access requirements and safety procedures had to be implemented to facilitate the refurbishment.
The building now enjoys a fully watertight and insulated roof covering complete with a 20-year materials and workmanship guarantee.
